I was convicted of a misdemeanor (petty larceny) during my second yr of college. Will law schools accept me?

During my second year of college I took some costume jewelry from a store and was arrested and charged and convicted of petty larceny. The incident occurred in a part of Virginia that punishes shoplifters particularly harshly and although it was the first time I have ever been in trouble, I spent 2 days in jail, did 40 hours of community service, and took a shoplifters prevention cl. I accept full responsibility for my stupid, irresponsible behavior and have since gotten involved in more community service ventures and volunteer opportunities in order to both attempt to make amends with myself and God for what I did and to show others that I may have to disclose to that I have changed since then. I am a straight A student, majoring in Public Administration and minoring in Philosophy and have done a few legal internships over the course of my college career. I am about to graduate with honors and plan on going to law school and becoming an attorney. How will my horrible mistake affect my chances of being admitted to top law schools such as penn state, georgetown, and northwestern?
