I am writing a book and…?

And I came up with the story all by myself. However, these days I am noticing that it has similarities with some other books and movies, most of them has not been read or watched by me (my friends found the familiarity). But I really want to finish writing it and publish as well (now don’t laugh, I like the way I write). Should I continue writing or should I start something new cause similar ideas has been covered by many writers in the past.
