Friends kids behavior is horrible...?

When the economy got bad I made a bad career move and found myself as a single parent homeless then jobless, this has continued for a year. This month I have had to move in with a friend and her two children. My friend has two kids a nine year old and the other a year old. My friends oldest has ADHD and is horrible to be around. The child is VERY impulsive and dangerous at times to my kids. Examples, he hit my children with wet towels, spatulas,belts, extension cords, they endure kicking, hitting , racial slurs, cursing. Last week he grabbed my developing daughters , and he grabbed my four year olds ! During the day he is at camp, but will soon be out as I will have to watch him daily and my kids dread being around him. Not to mention he does whatever whenever and my kids are learning EVERYTHING negative from him ( I have a very impressionable five year old). The child has been so bad my kids question if I am going to do anything about his behavior and why we continue to stay here (ages 5, 9, and 11). My friend, his mom, is not very aggressive about even trying to discipline him (nor the baby). The school is fed up with him, neighborhood children often exclude him or not allowed to paly with him, and my kids are sick of him! How can I suggest to my friend that she needs to do somthing better than meds. How I can I find a job and hurry up and get the hell outta here I have applied,called and beged everywhere!!!! This situation is so bad I started to go to the homeless shelter instead. My question is ..how can I tell my friend she needs to get a better handle on him and this situation or it may cost us our friendship and the fact that I 'd rather be homeless.
