What kind of Wine do I bring to a Fall evening get-together?

Our family just moved to a new neighborhood and we have been invited to a Fall get-together and asked to bring a bottle of wine to "taste and share". We like wine but really aren't wine drinkers. Help me out with what won't make us look like the clampetts and isn't Boone's Farm!! Something that would be appropriate for the season and taste fantastic. I am uming this is an outdoor casual event to relax and enjoy. Thank you in advance for any help!
