How do I type Spanish characters using a "Chinese" keyboard?

I use a Chinese-based keyboard (Chinese Ms-DOS), one where I can toggle between standard English (QWERTY) and Zhuyin input for Chinese characters using the Alt + Space Bar. I cannot get this thing to accept "Alt + ASCII code" to type Spanish characters. Is there some way to toggle the keyboard so I can type Spanish characters using ASCII codes?
