How to talk about thrush with him?

I keep getting recurring thrush after with my lover. Our relantionship is mostly physical and i am unsure how to broach the subject to to him that he may need treated as i feel he is ping it back to me each time......i asked him if he had any problems 'down there' and he said he was fine
